CDS suMMER CAMP 2017 IS HERE!

Calling all budding painters, builders, poets, farmers, scientists, engineers, athletes, chefs, coders, philosophers, and more! Children’s Day School Summer Camp is your destination for inventive, collaborative and most importantly, fun summer learning.

CDS summer camp runs for nine weeks beginning the week of June 12. For preschool-aged students, we offer five sessions of four two-week sessions. Eight one-week sessions—with various camps and themes available for each week—are being offered to elementary and middle school campers. 

Location

Preschool and elementary camps will be held on our founding campus, a beautiful and secure acre of land across from historic Mission Dolores. 

Lower school camps

With one of the largest outdoor playgrounds in the city, features a farm and organic garden (complete with chickens and sheep), and provides children with a safe place to be themselves, play freely and explore the natural environment.



middle school camps

Will be held at our newly opened 601 Dolores campus, featuring a rooftop garden, innovation lab, working kitchen, science classrooms, and performance space.

CDS Summer Camp is open to the entire community

in addition to all current and incoming CDS students. For preschool, community students must be four years or older to attend.

Let the games begin! Come join us for our very own CDS Summer Games. Ever thrown a javelin or a hammer (pretend that is)? Whether or not you have, come join us and let your inner Olympian run free. We will also have a shoe race, discus throw, 100 inch dash and so much more! We are all winners!!

OLYMPIC GAMES! PRE-SCHOOL CAMP |  JUNE 12 – 23, 2017 

In this camp, students will learn about sensors and motors by creating an interactive art piece. The students will explore the possibilities of robotics with the Hummingbird Kit that was developed at Carnegie Mellon. Then they will build and program their art piece using assorted materials such as cardboard, paper, sensors, motors, and LEDS.
